Role at Amani: I am working as a marketing/resource development intern. Some of my responsibilities consist of creating blog posts for the Amani ya Juu general blog, helping to create and manage social media posts, researching organizations and blogs for potential partnerships and promotional activities, brainstorming ways to draw more traffic to Amani’s website and e-newsletter, coming up with new strategies for recruiting box volunteers, as well as assisting my supervisor Emily with anything else she may need help with.

What made you want to intern with Amani? I wanted to intern with Amani because I loved its mission of spreading God’s peace that meets various needs as well as equipping and empowering women to also become agents of peace.  I also love that Amani incorporates fashion and creates amazing products to be used by people all over the world. I believe that it is extremely important to work with girls and women, because when you uplift a girl or woman and change her life, you in turn change the world.

Random Facts: I’m Nigerian, I’m the 2nd of 4 kids in my family, I love music, dancing, writing,  food and kids!
