Some words from DC!

Our prayers are still with our sister center in Kenya as the counting of all ballots continues. As of an hour before this posting, the Washington Post reports that Uhuru Kenyatta is leading and that over half of the ballots have been counted. Because much of the violence in 2007 erupted after the announcement of the winning candidate, our prayers with be with Kenya for days and weeks to come.

Also, tomorrow DC is expecting 4-8 inches of snow. The good news: we’ll be open our normal 12-7 hours! Take advantage of your day off and come and shop AmaniDC (and see for the first time our 2013 design that we predict might become our most popular fabric design yet…pictures coming soon). Your purchases in the DC shop help us to continue to support our Amani Ya Juu sister centers in Africa.
